Episode 1
Our inaugural episode takes viewers on a journey into Hilo, where you meet Hilo Mayor Harry Kim. We also take you to the place known for the best shaved ice here in town, then you’ll meet Big Island designer Sig Zane. Finally, we take you up on a “chicken skin” inspiring helicopter tour over Kilauea, bustling with waves of lava.

Episode 2
Kona is spotlighted, where we meet community leader Virginia Isbell on a tour of Kona Village. Then Chef Brad at Cafe Pesto creates culinary magic. We visit the Kona Historical Society’s Living COffee Farm - an amazing piece of living history. Finally, we explore the Sheraton Keauhou - its ammenities & ono grinds with Chef Heubel, leading us to the family run Hamakua Springs Country Farms.

Episode 3
North Kohala, the birthplace of King Kamehameha the Great, is the subject of this episode. We talk story with kupuna Kindy Sproat, then take an adventure safari up the mountains with Hawaii Forest & Trail, we get some history ont he original statue of Kamehameha, then we visit the charming Kohala Village Inn and Bamboo Restaurant.

Episode 4
Our first Christmas episode finds us at a local-kine holiday party at the beautiful Falls At Reeds Island guesthouse, we visit a Christmas tree farm in Pahoa, and take in a country-style Christmas parade in the southern Hawaii Island town of Pahala.

Episode 5
We’re visiting the region north of Hilo town, to picturesque Hamakua, Waipio, and Laupahoehoe. First, we visit beloved kupuna Auntie Mona Malani who takes us looking for opihi, then we visit the Hamakua Mushroom Farms. Finally, we’re taking viewers on a behind-the-scenes of the Hamakua Springs Country Farms’ “You Say Tomatoe” recipe contest.

Episode 6
This episode takes viewers to the Southern-most region in the country, to the Big Island district known as Ka’u. We introduce beloved kupuna, Auntie Pele Hanoa, and offer a preview of a South Point Bed & Breakfast called Kalaekilohana. Then the crew makes a cross-island trek way up to North Kohala for an afternoon of ATVing through some of the Hawaii’s most beautiful countryside.

Episode 7
In this updated broadcast of our Hilo-based premiere episode, we introduce Hawaii County Mayor Harry Kim, who shares a bit of his personal history as a child growing up on a plantation. Also, we take a helicopter tour over the dramatic lava flow at Kilauea with Blue Hawaiian Helicopter, then we stop in for some shaved ice at Itsus Shave Ice. Finally, we visit Hilo’s Tsunami Museum of the Pacific where we learn why they call Hilo the “Tsunami Capital of the World.”

Episode 8
This episode takes viewers on a close-up-and-personal visit to the recently opened Imiloa Astronomy Center. This $28 million facility is Hawaiis first truly world-class destination that offers amazing installations all presented in both English and Hawaiian. From the multimedia Kumulipo Theater to a sea-worthy replica of a Polynesian voyaging canoe, it is a spectacular mix of Hawaiian history, culture, and modern astronomy.

Episode 9
First, we visit the place that Sunset Magazine calls “One of the best Farmers Markets In The West,” the Hilo Farmer’s Market. It is nothing short of a dizzying array of farm-fresh fruits & vegetables, food, gifts, hand-crafted island arts & crafts (including Ni‘ihau lei), holistic therapists, and much more – including a palm reader with rates starting at just fifty-cents a finger! When we spot a shopper making a huge purchase of fresh Hawaiian sweet potatoes and learn that it will be used in her okazu-ya shop, we follow her to her to work where we get a demo of her tempura sweet potato recipe, just for our viewers!

Episode 10

We take our viewers to the west Hawaii region surrounding Kealakekua Bay, where we go kayaking with an ocean adventure outfit called Kona Boys, then we head over to the lovely bed & breakfast called Ka’awa Loa Plantation.

Episode 11
We head on out to get face-to-face with molten lava, on a lava safari with an adventure outfit called Hawaiian Guide. Then we head up north, where we introduce you to the recipient of the very first Grammy in the “Best Hawaiian Album” category, Charles Michael Brotman.

We visit the Aloha Festival Kindy Sproat Falsetto Singing Contest in Waikaloa,
and we take you to the unveiling of Hawaii fashion designer Sig Zane’s new Wailani Collection.

We visit with slack key master Cyril Pahinui at the Borders Bookstore in Waikele, then premiere his new music video, from the Grammy Nominated cd He’eia.

In this “classic” episode, we visit Hawaii Island’s South Point where we introduce kupuna Auntie Pele Honua, then introduce our viewers to a beautiful bed & breakfast called Kalaekilohana.

In this “classic” episode, we visit the Hilo Farmers Market, then follow a farmers market customer to her Okazuya where she shows us how to cook Hawaiian Sweet Potato Tempura.

In this episode, Author Malia Collins reads from her children’s book, “Santa Takes A Hawaiian Holiday.” Then, we visit the southern Hawaii Island town of Pahala, for the Kohumoku Family Music Camp.
Finally, we travel to Maui to experience the live musical stage production of “Ulalena”

In this episode, we talk story with Hawaiian music radio icon Skylark Rosetti, where she shares her mana’o about Hawaiian music’s broadcast history, and Skylark gives us her take on the nominees for the 2008 Best Hawaiian Album in the Grammy Awards.
Then we take you on a visit to a 100 year old Victorian bed & breakfast based on Hilo’s “Reed’s Island.”

Episode 20

This episode gives viewers an exclusive “behind the scenes” glimpse at the Moku O Keawe Hula Festival, and introduces Hula Masters Nalani Kanakaole, Charles Kaupu, and Dr. Tangaro Tapouri.
Then we take a 2nd look at the Hamakua Springs Country Farms recipe contest held at Hilo’s HCC..

Episode 21:
We attend the Annual Wailea Village Mochi Pounding Festival and learn more about this centuries-old Japanese custom, we visit the 100+ year old Volcano House Lodge inside the Volcanoes National Park, then we travel to Hawaii’s 9th Island - Las Vegas, Nevada - to meet the local boys in the Broadway show, Stomp!

Episode 22:
In this episode, we introduce Hawaii Island’s own ukulele prodigy, Ms. Brittny Paiva, and premiere her new music video, “Riding
Honoli’i.” Then we introduce an traditional koa wood craftsman, Uncle Larry De Luz.

In this episode, we’re taken to the land of Madam Pele by the luxury adventure guides “KapohoKine.” On this journey we explore the live, flowing lava fields just south of Kalapana, then spend time at a Hawaiian culture charter school based at an ancient Hawaiian fishing village.

Merrie Monarch 1 Hour Special
In our first 1-hour special broadcast, called “From Hilo With Aloha,” we’re onsite at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel where we’re joined by a long list of special guests to celebrate the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival. Guests include Kumu Hula Nalani Kanaka’ole, Maryanne Lim, Kainani Kaunaele, Derek Benitez, Miss Aloha Hula ‘07 & ‘95, and a whole lot more!

Episode 26:
This episode brings viewers along with us to check out the Second Annual Hamakua Springs Tomato Recipe Contest, then we head up the Hamakua Coast to the luxurious “off grid” bed & breakfast called Waianuhea — a site that offers luxury, tranquility, and renewed inspiration in “green living.”

First, we visit with Hawaiian music radio legend Skylark Rosetti, then we’ll bring you along on a Hummer Safari into the landscape that was the boyhood playground of Kamehameha the Great, and

Episode 32: In this episode, follow our friends Christian & Elyse as we take them on a Kama’aina Backroads exploration of sunny Kona. Based at the sumptious Hilton Waikaloa Village, we’ll show you how to relax, learn about our history at the Greenwell Store at the Kona Historical Society, and play with dolphins at Dolphin Quest Hawaii. And of course, enjoy the very best of onolicious kaukau!
